Abstract
The chapter reviews the methods of data processing aimed at improving the accuracy of measurements in radiation monitoring systems. The accuracy of radionuclide activity determination using model selection criteria has been studied. It is shown how the output of a linear measured system to a system with specified properties can be converted. The mentioned specified properties are classified and considered. Preliminary processing has been performed by the method of converting the output of the measuring system into the output of the system with a given basis. The method has successfully been applied for the study of spectra of radionuclides 137Cs, 134Cs and 60Co.
